Movie about the cutting machine operator apprenticeship: The high-tech profession

The profession of cutting machine operator has to contend with numerous prejudices: people talk about dirty, noisy, physically hard work. A typical male profession. All nonsense. In order to dispel these outdated images in people's minds, MAB has produced an entertaining film about training as a cutting machine operator in cooperation with the Amberg television station OTV. For one day, TV reporter Maria slips into the role of a machinist apprentice at MAB GmbH in Weiden.

What does a machinist actually do all day? And how much do you earn in this profession? What requirements do I have to fulfill? What opportunities do I have after completing my training? And what was machining again?

These are the central questions that reporter Maria gets to the bottom of. At her side: Lena, a trainee machinist at MAB, and Lukas, a prospective production technologist. Together, the three of them answer the most important questions about this exciting and future-oriented high-tech profession.

At the end of the day, Maria is impressed by the diversity of the varied tasks that Lena and Lukas are allowed to implement during their training and by the many modern machines at MAB. A unique combination of craftsmanship and technology that will remain in Maria's memory.
